This healthcare model is designed to give you more personalized, affordable, and accessible care directly between you and your midwife or nurse practitioner. Our goal is to help you take charge of your health, focusing on long-term relationships, convenience, and transparency. Here’s what you can expect when you choose Direct Care with us:

Personal Provider/Patient Relationship

In Direct Care, you build a strong, personalized relationship with your provider. We take the time to understand your needs, ensuring that you receive the care and attention you deserve, without the hassle of traditional healthcare models or complicated insurance rules.

No Per-Visit Cost With DC, there are no routine per-visit charges, deductibles, or co-pays. This means you won’t have to worry about surprise bills, making healthcare more predictable and affordable.

No Insurance Required We believe in providing transparent care that doesn’t rely on insurance. You can enjoy peace of mind knowing that insurance is not required for your appointments.

Medication Program Enrollment FREE medications! There are over 1,000 generic medications included via mail order, as well as some urgent care medications like antibiotics available at your local pharmacy. Some rules/limits apply.

Serving Ages Newborn - 64 Years Our Direct Care services aim to provide comprehensive care for the whole family, helping you stay healthy through many stages of life.

No Pre-Approvals Required DC eliminates the need for pre-approvals, streamlining the process and giving you direct access to your healthcare team. This saves time and reduces unnecessary paperwork.

Same-Day or Next Business Day Scheduling Need to see your provider right away? We offer same or next business day appointments, so you don’t have to wait to get the care you need. It’s healthcare that fits your schedule.

Extended Appointments At Ohana, you won’t feel rushed. We offer extended appointments, ranging from 30 to 60 minutes, allowing you to discuss all your concerns without feeling pressed for time. Unlike the national average of around just 10 minutes per appointment, we make sure you have plenty of time for your questions and to feel heard.

Membership Details:

  • Ohana Direct Care works directly with each client and not with insurance companies. Therefore, we do not accept insurance.

  • We require only a 30-day notice of membership cancellation, so you may cancel at any time.

  • There is a one-time family membership enrollment fee of $50.

  • If a membership is canceled, there will be a $120 reinstatement fee.

  • Home Visit Fee: $80 + (Travel)$25/15 miles

  • After-Hours/Urgent Visit Fee: $60 (Provider availability and discretion apply)
